# Trades Log

Trades Log shows trade activity for a selected master and account/portfolio. Filter and sort the trade grid, refresh data, edit cells when the server allows, and apply or revert batches of edits.

Open it from the sidebar: Trades Log.

## Select Master and Account

### Master

1. Open the Master dropdown.

2. Choose a master account, or leave _None_.

3. When a master is selected, the Account list updates from that master’s portfolios.

### Account

1. Open the Account dropdown.

2. Choose a portfolio/account.

3. When multiple portfolios exist, you may also see options such as:

   - _None_

   - *** ALL Portfolios ***

Changing Master or Account requests trade data for the new selection (while Connected).

## Refresh trades

Click Refresh to reload trades for the current Master / Account selection and ALL Edits setting.

- Requires Connected

- Tooltip: Refresh trades data

Use Refresh after connection recovery, or when you expect new trades that are not yet on screen.

> Screenshot: Refresh control enabled.

## ALL Edits

The ALL Edits checkbox controls whether the trade request includes all edits (matches the classic Trades Log behavior; default is on).

1. Check or clear ALL Edits.

2. Click Refresh (or re-select Account) so the grid reloads with the new setting.

> Screenshot: ALL Edits checked in the toolbar.

## Work with the trade grid

### Standard grid tools

| Task | How |

|---|---|

| Sort | Click a column header |

| Filter | Filter icon in header → Apply |

| Quick filter | Toolbar Quick filter → Search |

| Clear filters | Filter badge X |

| Show/hide columns | Right-click column header → Column Chooser |

| Resize / reorder | Drag column edges or headers |

Shared how-to: [Working with Grids](#).

### Row count

When the server provides a count, the toolbar shows:

Showing <n> rows

Use this to confirm how much of the blotter is loaded for the current filters/selection.

## Edit trades

### Inline edit

1. Double-click an editable cell.

2. If the server allows edit, the cell opens for typing or a dropdown.

3. Commit the change (leave the cell / confirm per control).

4. Cancel discards the in-progress cell edit.

Not every column is editable. If double-click does nothing, that cell is not open for edit.

### Batch apply / revert

When the server enters a batch-edit state, the toolbar shows:

| Button | Action |

|---|---|

| Apply All Edits | Commit the pending batch of edits |

| Revert All Edits | Discard the pending batch |

Both require Connected. They appear only when a batch edit session is active.

## Practical workflows

### Review one desk’s trades

1. Select Master for the desk.

2. Select Account (or *** ALL Portfolios ***).

3. Confirm ALL Edits as needed.

4. Click Refresh if the grid looks stale.

5. Filter or Quick filter to the symbol/side you care about.

### Find a symbol quickly

1. Load the correct Master/Account.

2. Use Quick filter (for example a column = value phrase).

3. Or open a column filter on Symbol / Underlying.

4. Clear the filter badge when finished.

### Correct a trade field

1. Double-click the cell.

2. Enter the corrected value.

3. If Apply All Edits appears, review related edits, then Apply All Edits or Revert All Edits.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | What to try |

|---|---|

| No master accounts | Wait for Connected / data load; refresh the page |

| Account list empty | Select a Master first |

| Refresh disabled | Connect first |

| Grid empty | Confirm Master/Account; clear filters; Refresh; check ALL Edits |

| Double-click does not edit | Column may be read-only; confirm Connected |

| Apply/Revert missing | Batch buttons only show during an active edit batch |

| Row count missing | Server may not send a count for every response |

| Allocate Trades not shown | Trade allocation is not enabled in the current React UI |

---
