How to Link Components

Edited

View this brief video for an example of how to link components.

In each tab of each component, you will see a hyperlink icon to the right of the tab name. Clicking this icon will open a menu to allow you to select a linked group by color.

Once a linked group has been created, a selection in one component will update all other linked components in the group.

Notes on linking:

  • You may have different linked groups within one component by assigning a different color to each tab in the component.

  • Components may only be linked within one workspace window. If you have multiple windows in your workspace, you can create a Red linked group in each window, for example, but they will not interact with each other.

  • For components that use filters, making a selection in a linked group will apply a filter on the Symbol column in order to display information for only the instrument selected. To remove the filter, select None in the linking menu.
