How to Set Up Your Workspace
There are two main elements to consider when setting up your Rival One workspace. First is the workspace canvas itself, where market data components and trading components can be customized. Second is the user settings and trading settings to allow you to set default values and route orders for execution.
Components
When first logging in to Rival One, you will be presented with a blank canvas. To add individual components, open the component menu using the + in the top left of the page. This will allow you to view all available components and drag them to your workspace canvas.
To see how to customize your workspace windows and canvas, see more detail in the Workspace Overview article.
The first component most users will want to create is a Hot Watch or watchlist in order to view market data for their selected instruments.
Next, depending on the instruments you are planning to trade, you will want to add one or more order entry components. While orders can be submitted from the Hot Watch, equities traders will likely want to use a Depth Ticket to view market data and enter orders, while futures traders will likely use a Ladder. Options traders will use Option Chain to view additional detail.

Settings
Once your workspace has been customized, you will need to ensure that your user settings and trade settings have been configured. See the Settings article for more detail on each step below:
Configure your Trading Settings by setting your default account and quantities for each asset class.
Configure your User Settings by ensuring your exchange-specific parameters are in place. Contact Rival Support for any questions on proper values.
In User Settings, make your preferred selections for confirmations on orders and cancellations.
Configure your Trade Sounds if desired.
